Ken Caban, P.E., BCEE

Civil and Environmental Engineer

I currently serve on the Turnberry on the Green Board of Directors and have since the beginning of 2008, as an appointed Board member. I am an original owner here and live here with my wife, daughter, and dog.

Professionally, I am a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Florida and a National Board Certified Environmental Engineer. I work for a large international engineering firm and have lived and worked in South Florida all my life.

I, and the other current members of the Board of Directors, have worked diligently this year in the face of many difficult situations and have successfully managed the association for the benefit of the majority of the honest, respectful unit owners here.

I have taken the responsibility and fiduciary duty of being a Board member very seriously and have dedicated myself fully to the cause of the betterment of our community.
Some of the accomplishments this year are:

  • Selection of new management company
  • Continued collections of outstanding accounts receivables of approximately $200,000.
  • Negotiation of a reduced insurance premium saving the Association over $100,000.
  • Successful negotiation of a settlement agreement with the developer of the building including a cash settlement of $500,000,repair of the bath tubs with a two year warranty from Turnberry Ltd., transfer of ownership of the commercial unit currently occupied by the real estate office
  • Supported and helped to implement new rules for increased security in the building.

I would like your support to continue the hard work we have begun in our home and seek your vote to continue to be a member of the Board of Directors for 2009.
